Dogged By Bad Luck

Talk about effort;

What you put in

Is what you get out

Talk about faith;

The good Lord will provide

You just sit there and expect it

Talk about being strong;

Have a positive attitude

Assertive mindset

But talk about bad luck;

The room clears

No-one understands

Or relates

"You're lazy."

"You're not trying hard enough."

What if it doesn't matter

How much effort you put in,

How much faith you have,

How positive you are?

Move a mountain once,

And the next time you'll reconsider

Especially if it amounts to nothing

Or just another obstacle,

Or challenge,

Slapped in the face

With a titan's dick

Talk about effort when

you're dogged by bad luck
