POEM: Apathy

How shall I describe my apathy?

I will attempt it in words

If an elephant landed 

In my yard

I would say:

"Oh, an elephant...

In my yard."

And 

probably go back 

To whatever it was

I was doing

If a man crashed his bike

In my street (and this has happened)

I would go to my window

and see the idiots 

gathered in the street

Helping him up

And 

Probably go back

To whatever it was

I was doing

If the world ended

I could care less

It would be gone

Who would I complain to?

I'm going back now

To whatever it was

I was doing
